Removing the "ghost" line that MS Words inserted

Microsoft Words had an annoyance "feature" that change the several "-" or "=" you typed in a new line to one continuous line across the page. This is actually a border marked at the paragraph before you typed the hyphen or equal signs.

You can remove the line by positioning above the line and press Control+Q.

Do not attempt to use Enter key to clear the line, as this will make thing worse by duplicating the format. IF you did that, the above technique will only move the line upward, you will have to do the Control+Q several times to get rid of the line.
